Is Arsenal midfielder holding out for a move to one of the Spanish giants?
by stresster on October 19th, 2008According to this source, Arsenal’s jewel in the crown is thinking of leaving the Emirates at the end of the season, and has passed up the opportunity to consider a new lucrative contract to make him the highest-paid player at the club. Thankfully for supporters, this particular newspaper has been known to get it wrong before - just on the odd occasion!
The News of the World has done some sterling work in the field of fiction, where the truth is suspended more times than Robbie Savage in his heyday. On this occasion, they have picked an easy target, going for a story about Cesc Fabregas passing up the chance to earn £90,000 a week at Arsenal, instead turning his attention to Real Madrid or Barcelona.
CESC FABREGAS has rejected new £90,000-a-week contract talks at Arsenal — paving the way for him to quit the Emirates at the end of the season.
Spanish giants Barcelona and Real Madrid have been put on alert after Fabregas turned down the chance to renegotiate his existing deal.
While it remains to be seen whether or not the above is true, Arsenal supporters must be getting concerned that their team’s inability to win any silverware this season might see their Spanish midfielder leave the Emirates, especially as he regularly states that they ‘need to win something’ this term. Do Gooners think silverware is imperative if Fabregas is going to stick around?

Drivel from “news of the world”, who are known liars.
Why should anyone believe anything they print?
Why would this site choose to regurgitate rubbish from such complete BS artists?

If he goes to Nou Camp he’ll warm the bench with his buddy Hleb so that would be insanity. Iniesta and Xabi are better. Fabregas is wonderfully talented and an exceptional YOUNG talent but is well over-rated in my opinion… praised when he plays well but over-looked when he goes missing, which is too often for all his hype. If he were a Gerard, Lampard or an older player in a top four side he’d be scrutinized for it, but at present he really isn’t. Everyone just blames Gallas… strangely a world class defender that must do EVERYTHING - defend, set piece defense (where’s the rest of the team???), team leadership, scoring crucial goals making few errors - and he must do it ALL for that side to just to get even a modicum of respect.

And he said he was staying at Arsenal for a long time. Get rid of these foreigners and buy English only!

if fabregas goes he will yet again become another victim of teams pinching our players….. how many times have players left only to realise the grass isnt greener, hopefully fabregas realises this and doesnt throw his career away, hes a smart lad im sure he’ll stay for a few more years, hes at a great team that can aheive a lot if they jus stay together.
i am however certain he will eventually go to barca…. its his childhood team, he was a product of their academy n thts where his true ambitions n hearts lie.. but he loves arsenal too and he is loved by all gooners n so he shud respect tht n stay with us til we r successful again
please fabregas dont go… the team needs u
