This out-of-favour Serie A youngster is wanted by a number of Premier League clubs, but Rafa is near the front of the queue for what be a very clever purchase.
Inter Milan superkid Mario Balotelli has Premiership’s biggest clubs chasing his signature.
Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool are all currently chasing the 18 year-old, who is rated at £19 million.
A signing would also cost the winner a minimum of £1.1million per year in wages, a sum that Balotelli is already earning at his current club.
The sale of one of Inter Milan’s best assets seems unlikely to be made to Chelsea, given the sacking of Inter Milan’s current manager Jose Mourinho by the Blues last year, and the suggestions in the Italian press that Balotelli isn’t keen on a move to the Premier League. (Tribalfootball.com)
The 18-year-old Palermo-born striker started his Inter Milan career with a bang, and it wasn’t long before Super Mario was considered for a place in the Italian Under-21 squad and scoring on his debut against Greece. The well-built striker has a great deal of strength, and has a great turn of pace, but it does seem that Jose Mourinho has no plans to make the youngster a regular and that has led to much speculation about a move to the cash-rich Premier League.
Rafa Benitez has already assembled an impressive array of young talent, and this signing would be yet more evidence that the Spaniard is planning for the future as well as today. Do Liverpool fans think a signing such as this would further prove that the Anfield outfit could well be set for another era of domination?
