According to the same paper both Man City and Barcelona would be interested, however it is difficult to see United selling to City now that City have a real prospect of becoming a top 4 team.

Owen Hargreaves hasn’t really shown United fans what he is capable of,. With the exception of the odd battling display, he really hasn’t been very good value for the big fee paid for his services almost 18 months ago. Barcelona’s interest is a little odd, given that Pepe Guardiola has a raft of midfielders in his squad to pick from, so a move to the near neighbours at Eastlands seems more likely. It does seem that Ferguson has given up on the Bayern Munich man, and I am sure that as soon as any club offers around £10-12m for Hargreaves, he will take the money and run.
