Tottenham defender places the onus on his team-mates for the poor start: The manager isn’t at fault!

Tottenham players awoke this morning to an uncertain road ahead for their coach Juande Ramos. Whilst it appears Ramos will be the fall man for this mess, one player believes that the players, not the coach, should be at the heart of the problem.

Jonathan Woodgate says Tottenham’s players are right behind coach Juande Ramos. Spurs have just two points from eight games and are bottom of the Premier League table. Woodgate believes the players should take the responsibility for the club’s worst-ever start to a league campaign.

The England defender said: “He is still the manager and hopefully he will continue to be.

“We will stick by the manager no matter what. We’ve played well at times, but this season we haven’t cut it. The buck stops with the players.

“We’re bottom of the Premiership and it’s not nice at all. We’re hurting inside but we have to stand up and get ourselves out of this mess that we’ve got ourselves into.” (ESPNSoccernet)
