Manchester United striker claims he’s DESPERATE for a new deal: What’s taking United so long?

Manchester United striker Carlos Tevez is on his hands and knees, pleading with his current club to give him a new deal. So what’s taking United so long to get this who ordeal signed, sealed and delivered?

All I’d like is that my rights are bought completely by the club and that my family and I can be sure we are here for years to come,’ said the 24-year-old.

‘I knew when I came here there would be really tough competition for places, given that United already had Cristiano Ronaldo, Wayne [Rooney] and Nani.

‘But Alex [Ferguson] always had total belief in me and told me so.

‘There was all this nonsense about how myself and Wayne couldn’t play together, but we showed everyone.

‘We have a perfect, intuitive understanding on the pitch, plus we get on brilliantly as pals.’ (Metro.co.uk)

Tevez has been linked with a rumoured move to Real Madrid in January, but from the sounds of these comments, it appears that he’d rather ply his trade at United for a long time to come. For some reason, the club has been slow rolling their star striker. Could this end up costing them his signature in the near future? I’m sure Sir Alex doesn’t want to find out the answer to that question!
