Arsene Wenger is apparently looking to bring in a midfielder in January, and this Cameroonian is reportedly high up on his wish list.
Arsenal Football Club are weighing up a move for Stephane M’Bia.
The Cameroon international midfielder admits he would love a move to the English Premier League, with Everton and Manchester United being linked in the past.
However, sources in France suggest Arsene Wenger has emerged as favourite to land the 22-year-old Rennes player, with an offer of around £10million being mooted in the press.
The Gunners have also been linked with Barcelona’s Yaya Toure in the past week, but it appears Kolo’s brother may be overlooked in favour of the impressive M’Bia.(fansfc.co.uk)
M’Bia is a quality player with good potential, and he was very close to joining Everton in the summer according to many reports. He may lack the big game experience of Yaya Toure for instance, but during the past four seasons at Rennes, he has come on leaps and bounds and is now ready to step up a grade. Admittedly, he may not step straight into a run of starts at the Emirates, but he is the kind of player who under Wenger’s tutelage could really become a prized asset.
Do Gunners fans think there is a need to purchase a midfielder and if so who should they splash out on?
