Juande set to risk his Tottenham tenure by throwing this oft-injured defender on the front line: He can’t be serious!
by offsidetrap on October 23rd, 2008Juande Ramos isn’t a gambling man at heart. But with the season on the line, and his managerial career at Tottenham hanging by a thread, the Spaniard figures he’ll try anything to get the club back on track.
Juande Ramos is set to gamble on his future as Tottenham manager tonight by throwing Ledley King back into the team against Udinese in the UEFA Cup.
The move will almost certainly rule the Spurs skipper out of Sunday’s Premier League match with Bolton as the defender is unable to play two matches in a week because of chronic knee problems.
kingRamos has received the backing of chairman Daniel Levy, but knows that defeat in either of the next two matches will leave him in a worse position. (Daily Mail)
Ledley King has been dealing with an on-again off-again injury for the better part of his time at the club. Whilst it doesn’t appear that King is 100% ready, it does appear that he’s healthy enough to give it a go tonight. But it looks like the move is a temporary stop-gap since he won’t be fit enough to play the weekend.
What do Spurs supporters think about this move?

Firstly the Bolton game should take priority….And Secondly why has’nt an Established Centre Back been brought in anyway? If we lose against Bolton at the weekend we cannot gain any confidence to go into the Arsenal and Liverpool games. The bookies have as 10/3 for the drop now. What started out as laughable has now taken on an urgency that simple cannot be ignored……I just wonder where the goals to save us are going to come from?

EVEN THOUGH WE HAVE JUST LOST I AGREE WITH RAMOS CAUSE WE NEED HIM 4 THE ARSENAL GAME IN MIDWEEK IF WE WIN THAT ONE IT MIGHT KICK START OUR SEASON

The next few games will “kickstart” your season in exactly the same way as the games against Hull, Stoke and Udinese did. You’re going down and there’s nowt you can do about it.
