Inter striker Mario Balotelli is ready to hand coach Jose Mourinho a transfer request as he is furious at being snubbed, according to Sportmediaset…
The Italian under-21 international is fed up of being used as the spare wheel in the Inter juggernaut and he wants out.A January exit is now on the horizon for Balotelli who is desperate for regular football. (goal.com)
Italy Under-21 International Mario Balotelli is still reportedly being chased by Premier League giants Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea, who are all keen to bring the Inter Milan striker to England.
18-year-old Balotelli, who was born to a Ghanaian family before being put up for adoption, passed up the opportunity to play for Ghana in the summer after receiving a call-up to the national squad.
Balotelli is valued at £19million by Inter and is understood to currently earn £1.1million-a-year at Jose Mourinho’s side, with it also believed that Balotelli is eager to remain at the Serie A Champions. (Premiershiplatest.com)
Rafa Benitez continues to enjoy a great start to the season but that hasn’t stopped a constant raft of rumours linking him with new signings and given that the Spaniard is steadily developing a great group of young stars you can see why he has been heavily linked with a move for this terrific young Italian striker. Jose Mourinho may value the teenager at £19m but it has been rumoured that the club may be content to cash in on their wantaway frontman for a fee nearer to £11m and it could be a very wise investment if the Anfield boss does indeed make a move and now that Super Mario is about to hand in an official transfer request it does seem that a move away from the San Siro is very much on the cards. Are Liverpool fans excited about the future plans for their side? Can they see the club moving towards another era of dominance in the British game?

Having seen Balotelli in action i have to say he is a great prospect, has the kind of deadly pace that scares the life out of defenders, reminds of an even more attack minded version of Babel. Buy him!

Nothing will stop the constant raft of rumours linking raga to new players.it’s you doing it! And you don’t seem to be getting bored of it even though raga never buys anyone you link us with. Do us all a favour and retire. You talk shite!

Rafa has built a good squad now, a squad capable of challenging for the title, therefore very few signing are going to be made. Why not spend 11 million on a good prospect, especially if he’s as good as some think, it can only do us good.
Personally I don’t think it’ll happen though, we have more pressing needs, like a new left back, (Bale 15 million), and someone to replace Pennant or Benny (another umpteen million). We may get 1 signing in january and I personally think it’ll be Bale, with Aurelio being offloaded.

instead of buying another young striker hows bout we give some of the young ones we have a chance? nemeth and pachecho could be given a chance to step up and gain some experience instead of buying another benchwarmer.

agree with tuh..all we need just rw and lb..

Are you out of your mind? New LB? Maybe next season!
The areas where we desperately need reinforcements in January are definitely RB and RW. Plus we need one more experienced striker.
For RB we need somebody in the same mould as Daniel Alves or Micah Richards, because these actual players would cost too much and I’d prefer if we bring in a youngster(22 years minimum), and raise him in the liverpool way.
For RW Kuyt is doing fine but when we need to change tactics and strategy, and play wider, fresh blood is needed. That fellow Kuba would be a great deal for us.
For striker, I’d say Amr Zaki if he continues to improve until the start of next year, ’cause let’s face it, he would be a BIG gamble. But I hope we can manage with what we have until the end of the season. And by “manage”, I mean “win the PL.” Otherwise, we can always play Babel up front when neither Torres nor Keane is available OR Nemeth/N’Gog could rise up to the occasions.
Also we need to offload Voronin, Degen (I simply don’t trust him) and Pennant.
Keep Benayoun, but play him in the centre of midfield if or when Gerrard is injured or substituted.
If you really need a fresh face for LB, then Insua’s the man, but frankly I think that Aurelio can last till next summer and Dossena has still to reach his cruising speed.

I would also like to see Kieran Richardson on the right for us, that if we do not get Schweinsteiger ….. Beside his play Richardson is also English which would count towards the Uefa ruling ….. Stiker …. Podolski pure quailty …… But I would have to also agree with tuh about play some of the youngster ….. Man utd, Chelsea and Arsenal all do this so why don’t we?….

Regarding the LB position, I personally think agger fits that role perfectly once skrtel returns. think about it, hes always going forward and supplying crosses on the left, isn’t that what good left backs do? its much better than having either aurelio or dosenna and having jamie carragher work extra hard if the other team counters.

perhaps the reason why rafa doesnt play youngsters is nothing to do with ability or mentality but perhaps that l´pool have not won the league for years feels that now is not the time to entrust such responsibility on them which is fair enuff.i would say that for l´pool to go into 2009 believing that they can firmly grasp the prem trophy would be to go for schweinsteger(free) and bale(although with harry redknapp there it may prove difficult).maybe the youngsters that he has will get minits in the cups or more likely next season, dependant on what happens this season.maybe thats the reason utd ,aresenal and chelsea can afford to play youngsters in the epl.

I’ll tell you who the reserves that who. And I for one would feel a whole lot better if i knew that they had some first team experience (i.e. some cup games and maybe 20 mins here and there in the Prem’) …… Chelsea were not frighten to play two of theirs resevres Sunday why should we be?….. We don’t even have them on the bench …… If we hope to win the Premier League then everyone, first team and reserves must be ready to play a part …… YNWA

agreed that every1 should be ready to step in at any given moment,i grant you that especially if you are challenging for so many honours, however maybe rafa could have introduced those players like nemeth etc more last season so they could be ready this season.what cant be denied is a belief that they can do it this year.obviously i dont want that being a utd supporter but i do appreciate football and can applaud what has been a start to a season that i would have wanted from my team.

The boy is dynamite, will be surprised if Inter sell him.
Alex - October 28th, 2008 at 5:02 pm
What about Podolski?
Bayern want to sell and he could play on the left as well as upfront.
