West Brom boss Tony Mowbray says he wouldn’t block fullback Gianni Zuiverloon from leaving for Manchester United.
“The boy’s personality and temperament is such that I built up a respectful rapport with his family and, for that reason, I don’t anticipate him moving this season and hopefully not next,” Mowbray told the Sunday Mercury.
“Somewhere down the line, I hope Manchester United or Barcelona do offer the club the right sort of deal for Gianni and if they did, I wouldn’t stand in his way.
“I have no right to deny a player the chance of representing one of the biggest clubs in the world but it has to be the right business for our club and it is not something I am anticipating this season or next season because of the rapport we have with him and his family. He is here to help us and hopefully he understands we are giving him the platform to make his talent flourish.” (tribalfootball.com)
£8m rated Dutch Under 21 international Zuiverloon is a stylish full back who is as good going forward as he is at the back. He first came to worldwide attention with his displays at last year’s U21 European championship and his performances for his country and for Heerenveen gained the attention of the Baggies and now Tony Mowbray will be hoping his young charge shows the Hawthorns side some loyalty rather than leaving at the first whiff of a big money move. Do Manchester United fans like the look of this young full back?

Well what about Rafel da Silva. I don’t think we will need a new right back.
