Rafa is continuing to monitor goings-on at White Hart Lane, with a view to tempting Harry with an offer for one of his inconsistent performers!
Harry Redknapp is reportedly considering selling Aaron Lennon to Portsmouth in exchange for Jermain Defoe in a cash plus player swap, according to the Daily Express. However, Benitez is said to be a long time admirer of the former Leeds man, and is said to be considering a signing of the 21 year old.
The winger is currently valued at £12m, and with more than 150 games experience he could be a valuable asset to Liverpool. (soccerglobe.net)
Aaron Lennon made an immediate impact last night with his surging runs, and he popped up at the right place at the right time to turn in Tottenham‘s injury-time equaliser. It was the moment that may persuade Harry to throw him into the starting eleven, and perhaps help resurrect his flagging career. However, the new boss may be keen to generate some cash for other purchases, so I can see why Rafa might well be considering bringing the youngster. Do Liverpool fans believe a player like Lennon could wow the fans or could he be an expensive failure?
