Fresh from two good games as the new boss at White Hart Lane, Harry Redknapp is apparently considering bringing in this hotshot Spaniard.
Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp is eyeing Fenerbahce striker Dani Guiza.
The Telegraph says Redknapp has been given full control of Tottenham’s recruitment policy, and reports in the Spanish press have claimed Guiza is among his first targets.
Guiza scored twice for Spain during Euro 2008 and was also on target against Arsenal in the Champions League earlier this month.
Guiza, 28, was last week linked with a move to Manchester City, another Premier League club who have money to spend in January. (tribalfootball.com)
Spanish international Guiza had one hell of a season in La Liga last term with Real Mallorca, and his success in 07-08 got him into the international reckoning and earned him a big money move to Turkey. Now he is being linked with a raft of clubs, even though he has stressed he is happy at the Istanbul club. The very direct forward is a good player, but I just don’t see him being a big success in the Premier League. After all, we are talking about a player who prior to last season was a journeyman striker who hadn’t had a great deal of top level success. Do Tottenham fans see Guiza as a player worthy of signing?
