Tottenham first-team player wants to leave the club: Harry hasn’t wowed everyone

Robbie Keane and Dimitar Berbatov walked out of White Hart Lane in the summer, and it appears that they could be joined by another first-team player in January. This defender was part of the team that beat Bolton 2-0 and drew with Arsenal 4-4 – should Redknapp do his utmost to ensure that he doesn’t leave for France?

The Press Association reports that despite the huge morale boost that the new manager has seemingly provided, Benoit Assou-Ekotto isn’t too bothered about the Premier League anymore, instead eyeing up a move to Paris St Germain. This Martin Jol signing has been in and out of the first team since signing a little over two years ago, and France appears to be calling.

“I have reflected a lot and I would love a return to France,” the 24-year-old told radio station RMC. “Above all I would love to join PSG.”

The 24-year-old has a chance to hold down the left-back position at White Hart Lane, yet it appears that his future lies elsewhere. How do Tottenham supporters feel about these comments? Will Gareth Bale be the long-term solution for this position, or do you feel the club should keep hold of the Cameroon international?
