Things are looking far rosier at White Hart Lane now that Ramos has been replaced and, as a result, the team under Redknapp’s guidance appear to have a new direction. This Croat is looking a far better player now than he did a few weeks back, and he is now apparently the subject of a very cheeky bid from Juventus.
Juventus are seeking a loan deal for Tottenham midfielder Luka Modric.
The 23-year-old has endured a difficult start to life in North London since moving from Dinamo Zagreb in the summer, although he is not rumoured to be looking for a move.
The diminutive youngster was frequently played out of position by Juande Ramos, but has been returned to his preferred role behind the striker by Harry Redknapp.
The consensus is that Juventus will take Modric on loan in January with a view to a permanent transfer next summer. (tribalfootball.com)
Now I am not sure where this story came from, but I just don’t see this happening. The idea that a club would let one of their star players leave the club on loan just beggars belief, and I am sure it’s an idea Redknapp would give short shrift if indeed this story is accurate. The little battler has been displaying some of skill and stamina that made him a hit at the European Championships, and I am sure that Harry is planning to build his team around the Croatian international, so Claudio Ranieri may as well look elsewhere. Do Spurs fans think that their new boss can guide them out of the drop zone?
