Manchester United plan £16m bid to replace FLOP: Would be great signing!

But Redknapp will face fierce competition from Manchester United for the tough-tackling Diarra, who can play across midfield and at rightback.
Old Trafford boss Ferguson failed in a £12m move on deadline day last August but the 23-year-old is his No.1 target in January.
United’s interest raises questions about the long-term future of Owen Hargreaves, who is battling tendonitis of the knee.
The 27-year-old England star, signed for £17m from Bayern Munich in July 2007, has started only two games for United this season and only 25 in his 15 months at the club. (Sunday People)
Injury and indifferent form look set to curtail Owen Hargreaves United career and the player Ferguson is looking to replace him with is an incredibly talented man who after disappointing stints at Arsenal and Chelsea looks set for a step back into the top four arena. The French international is a joy to watch when he is in full stride, he barely loses the ball and as well as a deft tackler can also break with speed and fuel the attack. Given the financial constraints at Fratton Park I fully expect the £16m rated Parisian to leave the club either in January or the summer and a host of clubs including Man City and Spurs are also waiting in the wings to snap him up, however one would feel that Lassana would surely jump at the chance of a move to the reigning Champions and Premier League holders. Do Man United fans think that Hargreaves deserves another chance?

yeah, i do believe hargo deserves another chance. he has played well when not injured. he’s a superb holding midfielder and right back. but his injury is a major concern. diarra would be the perfect replacement if fergie has really run out of patience with hargo.

WHY do we want another small midfielder!!
I think we should get YAYA TOURE!! He is a beast of a man!!
He would destroy Mascherano, Mikel and even Essien!! YAYA is the 1!!

United simply can’t wait for Hargreaves, especially if he goes under the knfe. They’ll never get close to the 18M they coughed up for him, so I expect him to become the supersub he was most of the time at Bayern. If Diarra goes elsewhere I think Anthony Annan of Rosenborg or my favorite hard man, Javí Martínez of Atletico Bilbao, could get the job done.
