Having been to the game…
Sorensen 7 - Solid when called upon
Griffin 9 - Spellbinding performance - MOM
Abdoulaye Faye 8 - as good as ever
Shawcross 8- class act
Higginbotham 7 - solid
Amdy Faye 7 - Went about work unoticed
Olofinjana 8- good performance rounded off with goal
Diao 8 - Broke up play superbly
(Whelan) - Usually cameo 6
Delap 8 - worked hard as always
Fuller - 8 Genius, not his best day but got a deserved goal
(Cresswell) - Usual hard worker 6
Sidibe 7 - Not his unstoppable best, but worked hard as always and won plenty in the air
(Kitson) - Tried hard for the team when brought on to waste time 6
Arsenal
Almunia 5 - Didn’t really do much right, one good save from Diao - second half
Sagna 6 - Unimpressed, failed to cope with Stoke physically
(Walcott)7 One of a few Arsenal players who threatened with his sheer pace
Toure 5- awful defending for goal and ambitious efforts did nothing to make things better for his side
Silvestre - 6 Comfortable in possesion, again was troubled by Fuller
Clichy 8 - pressed a lot, tried to get his team going
Denilson 4 - Shocking performance, a little brazilian, wearing gloves and trying 60 yard world class passes - doesn’t work at the Britannia.
(Van Persie) 1 - Came on, and got himself sent off with a stupid challenge on the impressive Sorenson
Fabregas 7 - He could only pass sideways, with Stoke’s 2 banks of four.
Song Billong - 5 poor game , not Arsenal standard
Diaby - 6 looked dangerous in parts, but even he failed Stoke’s physical.
Adebayor 6 for a supposed world class striker, Faye and Shawcross made him look awfully average, didn’t turn up and cried off with an “Injury”
(Vela) 5 Didn’t really have enough time to impact proceedings
Bendtner 3 - this guy shouldn’t be playing for a great footballing side like Arsenal, languid, poor work rate, can’t pass a ball - and despite being a tall lad - he had no impact.
Stoke were by far the better side and deserved the win.

I have been Wengers strongest defender but yesterday’s team selection was awful.
We were set up to stop Stoke physical game and it failed. We need to start to get Nasri and Walcott to play every game and RVP. It is ridiculous to have Song in the team, can anyone tell me that Song is a better centre back that Senderos?? Or that Djourou is not the best centre back we have in the air?
We need to play like this,
Almunia
Sagna Djourou Silvestre Clichy
Walcott Diaby Cesc Nasri
RVP Vela
Try this out for a few games. Vela looks lively up front much more so than any of the other front men.
It is time for Arsene to lose Song, he is a waste of space, bring back Phil and play Phil and Djourou as the centrebacks.
