Wenger is looking to bring another Frenchman to the Emirates, and has his eyes on this international keeper to help give his current custodian a bit of a wake-up call!
Paris St Germain keeper Mickael Landreau is interesting Arsenal.
The People says Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is eyeing a £2million move for France international Landreau.
Wenger has been tracking Landreau, 29, since last season but has now stepped up his interest due to concerns over Manuel Almunia. (tribalfootball.com)
Whilst Arsenal’s current number one has been a little off-form lately, he is surely still one of the best in the Premier League, and it seems to me that the club is more in need of a player to keep the Spaniard on his toes rather than simply taking his starting spot. This is where an experienced keeper like Landreau could be very handy. The solid French international has been around and could be just the man that the north London club need to provide excellent back-up for Manuel during his patchy spells. The former Lens man has a great deal of experience to draw on and, at £2m, he is a real bargain. Do Gunners fan have faith in their current number one?
