It’s well known that Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp will want to snare some of his former Portsmouth charges at the soonest possible opportunity.
In particular, reports have suggested that ‘Arry is particularly keen to continue working with fast-developing utility man Lassana Diarra, who has been a class apart for Pompey this season.
The 23-year-old former Chelsea and Arsenal man, though, is also coveted by Manchester United gaffer Sir Alex Ferguson, who registered a £12 million interest in him last summer.
Now, Fergie is tipped to battle Redknapp in the New Year for the Frenchman’s services. The Scot is on red alert after learning that Owen Hargreaves, who covers a similar range of positions as Diarra, is likely to miss the rest of the season.
Manchester City boss Mark Hughes has also been tipped to bid for Diarra, whose days at Fratton Park could be numbered. The player is keen to make himself a mainstay of Les Bleus and may feel he needs to be back in the glaring spotlight before that can happen. (goal.com)
Of all the players linked with a move to White Hart Lane over the past year, the one who I feel would make the biggest impact is Lassana Diarra, and the speculation surrounding a possible move to Tottenham began way before Harry Redknapp was installed as the new boss. Therefore, one can only assume that the chances of the talented Frenchman joining the north London club have only increased.
Diarra may not be keen on a move to Old Trafford, given the danger that he may end up warming the bench, as Sir Alex has a wealth of central midfielders on the payroll and the former Le Havre wasn’t best pleased at being a perennial sub at Chelsea and Arsenal . He may instead opt to continue his blossoming relationship with Harry. Do Spurs fans think that Lassana will fill the hole in the midfield ably?

I have just watched the duracell bunnies draw with athletico madrid .And harry needs to ask me how liverpool can run and run and run till they milk a penalty or snatch a goal or slam a free kick in the 94 min of games. When most team that have 60 to 70 percent of the play would be dead on there feet. And why gerrard can launch hmself with so mutch speed flying through the air and milk a penalty and then stroke it home like they have just kicked off.The worst thing is how come wada and uk sport havent stopped it they no there is dodgy energy going round and this new steroid the italians have caught a player from ac milan we have caught mutu and chelsea caught him and got fined sixty thousand for it .Danny cadamateri (ephedrine )six month ban and this year 2 youth players for cocane not named and banned 6 and 3 months .shamfull uk sports peter parker .

Diarra might prefer a move to Tottenham and playing under his old boss, but whether or not he’d warm the bench a lot at Old Trafford, moneybags Ferguson would offer him a bigger salary than Spurs could afford, and money talks.
Until changes are made in PL rules – including a salary cap – Manure (and Chelsea and now, Citeh) the richest, big four teams will continue in effect to “bribe” their way to the top of the league Whether in sport or politics, dynasties are bad news.

Whatever your point of view, and we all know that footy is a matter of opinions, footballers will go wherever their pockets are lined the fullest. I was present at White Hart Lane when a certain Irishman was offerred 46 grand pw, he stormed from the building proclaiming “I wouldn’t get out of bed for that,” how very original. He later went to Newcastle for 55 grand pw and exclaimed in the press conference “I’ve always loved this club.”
I rest my case
