TOP 10 DIRTIEST players ever: Arsenal, Liverpool, Spurs, Manchester United, West Ham, Chelsea, Man City, Newcastle United, Celtic and Rangers fans VOTE NOW!
by Mr Comfort on November 6th, 2008It’s a man’s game, unless of course you’re watching women’s football, and everyone likes a good bruiser. Now’s your chance to name and shame the dirtiest players that have ever walked the earth!
Don’t forget to check out Online Football Manager!
In light of recent outbursts by both Sir Alex and Arsene about their players being targeted by footballers intent on causing harm, it seemed like the opportune time to ask the fans which players in the history of the game were the most likely to truly wish harm on their opponents.
Tell us the players who love the old two-footed lunge and bone-crunching tackle. So search your memories, sift out the pansies and come up with the list of the players you think were/are the dirtiest in the game. As always, you have the helpful cut and paste thingy below to help make your selections, but you don’t have to fill the whole damn list unless you really really want to!

There are no other dirty players that come close.
1 cheated to win the world cup & gets away with it, even glorified as a legend in football for cheating.
The other freely admitted to maliciously ending other players careers & admitted to dullying at the worst level in Pro football, the player even laughed it off.

* Duncan Ferguson
* Norman Hunter
* Billy Bremner
* John Fashanu
* Roy Keane (mostly just for the Haaland incident)
* Emanuel Pogatetz (as anyone who can pick up a 24-week ban deserves a mention)
And you can have Joey Barton as sub.

Now try and convince me Ronaldo was better than Best. Best had to weave past hard men like these who were out to stop him.
magicspacemonkey - November 7th, 2008 at 4:04 pm
Anyone who plays for Man U as they just tend to be inherently dirty by the very nature they have sold their soul to the devil and play for a PLC of prawn sandwich eating executives. A special mention to:
Roy Keane - for assaulting Haaland and then admitting to it in his book just to sell a couple more copies
Cantona - as if it wasn’t enough that he would assault players on the pitch he took out his frustration of playing in front prawn sandwich eaters on the poor away fans. Fancy the insult of paying to be assaulted (and not even sexualy)
Ronaldo - What he has in talent is eclipsed by his relentless diving and his utter mercenary approach to football, but what more do you expect from a mercenary playing with a bunch of mercenaries for a bunch of mercenaries in front of a crowd of mercenaries.
