“We’ll show Manchester United that we’re in the title race” claims Arsenal defender

What better way to answer the critics than stuffing Manchester United on Saturday? This game is not just important because three valuable points are up for grabs against one of Arsenal’s fiercest rivals in the Premier League.

It’s also vital that the Gunners demonstrate that they have what it takes to challenge for the league this season, with performances against Fulham, Hull and Stoke suggesting that their title challenge is already faltering in early November. However, The Sun reports that Kolo Toure reckons his team will show what they’re all about when United arrive in town.

He said: “We will show Manchester United we are still in the race for the title.

“Beating them would definitely be a big statement.

“It will be very different to the game against Stoke. We will be playing at home in front of our own fans and will play the ball really, really quickly on this pitch.

“It is a very important game and we will rely on our solidarity as a team and on our quality.

“It is much too early to write off Arsenal. We are only six points behind the leaders and the season is not even at halfway yet.”

Do Arsenal fans share this confidence and believe that the team can dig deep and win the match against Manchester United? Or will the injuries and suspensions take their toll, with the Red Devils able to call on a full squad of quality players? If the Gunners manage to win this match, it will be a tremendous achievement, but are there any supporters fearing the worst?
