Does Arsenal manager need to splash the cash in January?

While the Gunners’ 2-1 win over Manchester United has appeased the many supporters who feared that Arsenal’s title challenge could come to an end in mid-November, there are still others who have been calling on the manager to bring some experienced players into the squad come January. Will the Frenchman be doing exactly that?

Setanta reports that Arsene Wenger is undecided at the moment with regard to bolstering the squad, although the fact that he hasn’t ruled it out suggests that one or two new faces could be on their way. Indeed, the Frenchman lamented the fact that Tomas Rosicky and Eduardo were injured at crucial times for the team last season, and perhaps he’ll act to ensure this doesn’t happen again.

“It’s far from decided,” said Wenger.

“We will make a check at the end of December and we will see. We have had many players out and showed we have a great squad that can win the big games.”

Many have claimed that Arsenal need a new centre forward, along with an experienced defender and midfielder to help the young Gunners out. What do the supporters think? Should Wenger make use of the money available to him, or is the team just having terrible luck with injuries which should sort itself out over the next few weeks?
