Spurs, along with West Ham and Arsenal are keen on Stephen Appiah after FIFA ruled the Ghana midfielder is a free agent with no links to his former club Fenerbahce. (Daily Mirror)

The 27-year-old former Juventus man really came to the fore with his tremendous display at the 2006 World Cup, and he has been something of a journeyman midfielder in Italy. After spending eight years at four Serie A sides, the battling midfielder moved to Istanbul and helped Fenerbahce to a league and cup double in 2007. Apparently, the only sticking point that has stopped Appiah from already completing a move away from Turkey is his desire to be paid a very large weekly wage that many clubs have reportedly been reluctant to do due to injury concerns.

However, if fully fit he could prove to be something of a bargain for any of the three teams listed in this report so do fans of Arsenal, Spurs or West Ham believe a move for the Ghanaian would be good one?
