According to this source, after being snubbed by Brazilian striker Love, Harry has decided to make a push for a flavour of the month finisher!
Tottenham Hotspur look set to focus their attention on Wigan Athletic loan star Amr Zaki as January transfer target after Vagner Love pledged his commitment to CSKA Moscow.
Spurs boss Harry Redknapp is expected to bring in striking reinforcements when the transfer window reopens in the New Year and the north London club have been linked with Brazil international Love and Egypt star Zaki amongst others.
Meanwhile, reports claim that El Zamalek-owned Zaki is top of Redknapp’s transfer targets list after the powerful 25-year-old impressed in his debut season in the Premiership where he has scored eight goals so far. (Premiershiplatest.com)
There is no denying the immediate impact made by the Egyptian international, but it would be unwise for Harry to get over-excited about a three month spell in the top tier, and I am sure that Redknapp will not make a bid for the Wigan man until he has had a good look at the Zamalek player. Given the recent performances from Darren Bent, and to a lesser extent Roman Pavlyuchenko, it could be that another striker is not needed quite so urgently. Do Tottenham fans believe the club should bid for Amr Zaki?
