The England international hopeful is behind Edwin van der Sar in the pecking order at Manchester United, with Tomasz Kuszczak also challenging him for the jersey when the Dutchman is out.
Although Foster has recently stated his desire to remain at Old Trafford and fight for his place, he knows he needs regular first team football if he is to become Fabio Capello’s number one for England.
Harry Redknapp is desperate to land a new goalkeeper in the New Year, something which has shot to the top of his priority list after seeing Heurelho Gomes’s howler at Fulham in the 2-1 defeat.
Shay Given is his first target but he has so far received little encouragement from Newcastle United, so he will instead tempt the champions with a £10million bid for 25-year-old Foster. (fansfc.com)
Now that is a large sum of money for a player who has just 30 Premier League appearances to his name, but at the same time, I think it’s clear to see that Foster is an England international with a bright future. There are a few keepers already linked with a move to White Hart Lane, but it does seem that this could be one who could be persuaded to join the club, given that he is currently third choice at Man United. Do Tottenham fans have any other favourites they would like to replace the bumbling Brazilian?

IN ALL THE YEARS SPURS HAS NEVER REPLACED JENNINGS AND CLEMENCE AND WE HAVE HAD SOME DROSS WALKER SULLIVAN KELLER ROBBO AND POOR GOMES AND IF THERE IS ONE THING THAT IS CAUSING A LOT OF KEEPERS TO DROOP CROSSES IS THOSE STUPID GLOVES .ONE TIME GLOVES WERE ONLY USED FOR WET WEATHER , BUT NOW ITS EVERY GAME THE BALL HAS GOT LIGHTER AND THE GLOVES BIGGER. THIS DOESENT MAKE SENCE SURLY GLOVES SHOULD BE MORE LIKE GOLF GLOVES BUT WITH A BIT MORE PROTECTION AND KEEPER COULD GRAB THE BALL BETTER I WOULD TRY CUTTING THE FINGERS OFF IN TRAINNING AND SEE

DAVID SMITH surely if we cut our goalkeepers fingers off it would make it even harder for them to catch the ball!!!!And wouldnt you agree it would depreciate the value of them if we ever need to sell them on.

nobody could replaced Jennings…for me he is the best keeper in the world beside Gordon Banks…back to the current spurs keeper…Gomes is out, bring in Foster cos he is very good and has long future ahead of him.

Guys a friend of a friend whose cousin is the girlfriend of the brother of a friend of the uncle of the boss of the window cleaner who is the sister of a taxi driver who picked up Kaka in his taxi and over heard a conversation between him and his agent saying he wanted to play for Spurs and was coming in January….
I love it when these rumours started - this will be in the Star tomorrow that Spurs are going to have a new look midfield of Kaka and Jimmy Bullard….

Gomez needs some quality coaching.(when to stay on his line and when to come for a cross) PSV fans genuinely thought he was one of the worlds best keepers and hes made some quality saves for us. Ones that Robbo would never have reached. Its too early to chuck him on the scrapheap. Persevere with him i say. If you forced me to choose a keeper to buy. I dont think we could go wrong with Cudidini COYS
