Manchester City supporters: Who’s your favourite player of all time?
by offsidetrap on November 20th, 2008 105 words | 21 commentsIf you took a moment to dig down to the bottom of your closet, chances are pretty good you’d come up with an old kit from your local club. The names and numbers on the back of the shirt have since changed, but the memories we have of following our favourite football player never go away. We want you to know who your favourite player of all time was at your club. Who did you try and emulate when you were out on the pitch with your mates?
So who’s your favourite Manchester City player of all time? Let us know if the comment box below!

Although he was inconsistant to the point of only turning it on for 1 in 4-5 games, when Rodney Marsh was on song he was a wonder to behold. Just as Brilliant and gifted as Best on his day , trouble was he couldnt be arsed most of the time.

Has to be Gio Kinkladze for me, that goal against southampton was pure class, shame he played in possibly the worse Man City team of all time.

Colin Bell.
My boyhood hero. Fantastic player.

So glad to see Neil Young getting mentioned. So often overlooked due to the Bell, Lee and Summerbee cliche. For me though he’s just pipped to the post by Bobby Johnstone

Over the 42 years I have been going it has to be King Colin, class, skill, stamina, goals, tackling, dignity, humility – but there are many I have loved watching – just naming a few of those – Nellie Young (I was there when he headed the ball and tried to make a tackle in the same game – as well as scoring another left foot classic!), Kinky, the Goat, Peter Barnes, Tueart and Hartford, Sweep, Paul Lake and I’m looking forward to seeing Stevie Ireland, Robinho and some of the others stay around to be added to that list of greats
