Liverpool SKIPPER ruled out for TWO matches: Are supporters concerned?

Liverpool supporters who were sweating Steven Gerrard’s fitness prior to tomorrow’s match don’t have to worry any longer. The talismanic skipper has been ruled out from Saturday’s match against Fulham, as well as Wednesday’s Champions League draw against Marseille.

The player’s absence from two important games for Liverpool further vindicates the club’s position over Gerrard.

Gerrard worked away from the first-team squad at the club’s Melwood base this week, supervised by a personal fitness coach.

He underwent a scan in Liverpool on the injury, sustained at Bolton last weekend, where the damaged muscle was confirmed. (Telegraph)

Any league match is critical at this juncture in the season, but the loss of Gerrard shouldn’t be as noticeable with Fernando Torres returning to the starting XI. Regardless, there always seems to be a slight dip in form when Stevie G is missing (right now is not the time to have a dip in form).

Are Liverpool supporters concerned about playing the next two matches without Captain Gerrard?
