You knew this was coming sooner or later for William Gallas. After throwing his club under the bus earlier this week, the Frenchman has been relieved of his captaincy by manager Arsene Wenger. He has also been dropped from the squad for the upcoming match against Manchester City!
William Gallas has been stripped of the Arsenal captaincy and will not play against Manchester City, according to Sky Sports News sources.
The move comes after Gallas spoke of unrest in the Arsenal camp on Thursday, including details of a bust-up during half-time in the recent 4-4 draw with Tottenham. (Sky Sports)
So Gallas is gone! I’m sure Arsenal supporters are jumping for joy at the dismissal of this massive whiner. But what do Arsenal supporters have to say to Gallas as he disappears from the Arsenal starting XI?
