Moneybags City are once again being linked with a player they surely can’t snare!
The Manchester City manager is determined to increase his defensive options when the transfer window opens on Jan 1 and has made Toure and Chelsea full-back Wayne Bridge his top targets.
Arsenal defender Toure is ahead of Podolski on Hughes’ wish-list, however, due to the defensive problems that have dogged City this season.
The loss of form that has affected Richard Dunne and Micah Richards has left Hughes searching for reinforcements. (Daily Telegraph)
There are some targets outlined by Mark Hughes and his mega-rich club that are plausible, and others (like Cristiano Ronaldo, Fernando Torres and Steven Gerrard) which must surely be totally the construct of bored journo’s, because there is simply no way they can get hold of these megastars. Kolo Toure has been a fantastic acquisition and has given the club 100% since day one. He also clearly loves the club and can see past a blip such as the club is currently experiencing and can see just what the club can still achieve under Arsene Wenger.
Therefore I see no way that Manchester City will convince the Ivorian to leave the club. Do Gunners fans believe that Kolo is the best signing their fantastic French boss has made in his tenure at the club?
