After a poor start to the season was compounded by the club captain’s amazing outburst, Arsenal’s under-fire boss must now consider the offers reported by this source for William Gallas.
Paris Saint Germain and Juventus are circling Arsenal for sacked captain William Gallas.
However, The Times says Gallas is unlikely to quit Emirates stadium without a fight – due to his healthy pay packet.
Gallas, although still angry at the way that he has been treated, wants to return to action as soon as possible and is determined to fight for his place.
The 31-year-old is aware that he will struggle to collect his £90,000-a-week wages elsewhere, despite interest from Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus, and is reluctant to be seen to be running away from English football. (tribalfootball.com)
There can’t be too many Arsenal fans who think the club should stick with Gallas after yet another example of how not to lead the team from the Frenchman. There have been far too many occasions when the former Chelsea man has not led from the front, and has acted in a frankly bizarre manner one too many times. If either club linked with a move for the 31-year-old does make a bid, I am sure that Wenger will take the money and run. Do Gunners fans think he deserves another chance, or should the club just get rid of him as soon as possible?
