According to sources close to Spartak Moscow management, a deal has been reached already between the Russian side and Arsenal for Danish striker Nicklas Bendtner to be on his way to the Russian capital on January.
Spartak have been looking for a striker to replace Roman Pavlyuchenko whom has moved away to join Tottenham Hotspurs is the last day of the summer transfer window, and seem to see Bendtner as the ideal replacement.
The finalized deal terms according to online reports include a sum of €6 million to be paid to the Gunners for the release of their 21 year old front man who’s goal in the last round of the CL group stage proved decisive for Arsenal to progress to the knock-outs.
Meanwhile, Arsenal themselves are after a number of young goal scorers especially with Adebayor struggling for form and Eduardo still sidelined. (footylatest.com)
Nicklas Bendtner has his detractors but no one can deny that at just 20 he still has time to prove himself but according to this report he will be doing so under the tutelage of Spartak Boss and fellow Dane Michael Laudrup. I am not sure if this deal is as complete as this source makes out but it does seem that Arsene may be considering letting the player leave, but perhaps only on a loan deal to begin with. Do Arsenal fans want to see the club give the forward another chance to prove himself?

As i have said before, a loan is the perfect opportunity for Bendtner since he has a lot of talent, but at the moment with Arsenal struggling for form, it is not the ideal time to train him in the first team. Meanwhile, Mr Wenger should sign Lukas Podolski since he can be a dangerous striker, and can also scorch the wings, as he proved in the EURO 2008 campaign. With Rosicky still out and now Walcott injured we need wing replacements as well.

Nice to see even ‘Mr. Comfort’ isn’t sure if there is any truth in his article with his likely-o-meter at 5, talk about sitting on the fence…

Kerim Benzami is the player Arsenal need, he will be as lethal fer Arsenal as Ronaldo is for Manu.

Gilbo - Benzema may be lethal but he would also cost about 20M to bring him to the Emirates, various clubs were linked with him over the Summer, I also doubt that he is as good as the hype - he was outclassed in the Euros which didn’t fill me with confidence.
I think bendtner should be sent out on loan - I personally have had concerns about him for a long time - Vela is a far better player and yet Nicklas is consistently played ahead of him, much as I appreciate Vela is younger than Bendtner surely it is clear that of the two it is him the fans want to see on the pitch…

Keep him. Why sell players yet when we dont need to. Bendtner is a good forward and at 20 y/o has shown this year that he is a great secondary striker choice.
Vela has great potential and as Wenger has said, it will take time for him to fully develop into a Premier League player with all the physical involved in the league.
If we were to sell one of our forwards, i would say hold back until the summer and see how they all do. We should also wait incase we have another bail-out player who wants off to sunnier shores.

yep loan deal for bendtner wouldnt be a bad move.
i agree with GILBO , benzema would be immense for arsenal , he would be the new henry, his finishing is class and to be an arsenal striker thts all u need, coz he will gt lots of balls supplyed to him from fabregas, denilson, rosicky, nasri etc.
if adebayor could finish half his chances he would look better than ronaldo.

looking at Bendtner last night I can’t see why we still persist with him. Jay SImpson has only played a few Carling cup games and has already been more consistent,. quicker and looked a better than player than Bentdner in everry department.
get rid, see if we can get some cash for him, Eduardo will be back soon, Vela should be given more chances Ade will come good also.
