Arsenal set to use January cash for £11m Premier League striker?
by Mr Comfort on December 1st, 2008Could Wenger really be about to put in a bid for this Chelsea man, and if so, would Scolari dream of accepting?

Arsenal are interested in Chelsea striker Salomon Kalou.
The Times says Gunners boss Arsene Wenger admitted to being interested in signing Kalou, the Chelsea forward, in the summer, but he was rebuffed.
Peter Hill-Wood, the Arsenal chairman, said yesterday that money is available to spend in January. (tribalfootball.com)
This source seems to suggest that with the Arsenal boss apparently about to be the recipient of some January transfer cash a move for the Ivorian attacker may be in the offing and whilst he is the kind of player that would fit in perfectly at the Emirates I don’t see it happening for a number of reasons. 1) Chelsea would be loathed to lose the former Feyenoord man and even more so to let him join a title rival, which after yesterday’s fantastic win the Gunners most definitely are and 2) I think Kalou will be keen to push for a regular first team start at Stamford Bridge and with Drogba supposedly on his way out the 23 year old would have more of a chance to play alongside or wide of, Nicolas Anelka. Would Gunners fans welcome a move for the Blues attacker?
