Rafa is apparently keen on this fast improving defender.
Liverpool have joined the interest in Fulham defender Brede Hangeland.
The People says Fulham are desperate to tie their giant centre-back Hangeland to a new contract to stave off interest from Liverpool and Arsenal.
Anfield boss Rafa Benitez has made enquiries about the 6ft 5in Norway captain (left), who held initial talks about an improved contract with the money men at Craven Cottage last week.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has also sent scouts to watch the big defender.
But Fulham will snub offers of less than £10m for a player they signed for £2.5m from FC Copenhagen last January. (Tribalfootball.com)
Norwegian international Hangeland has come in for some great compliments in recent weeks and under Hodgson’s defensively minded guidance he has been the fulcrum of the Fulham backline so it’s no surprise he has been the subject of many rumours. The west London side has the best defensive record outside the top three and the American born centre back is one of the main reasons for that and given that Liverpool may need another defender amongst their ranks one can see why this speculation persists. Skrtel is on the mend, Hyypia is getting on a bit and Agger has been linked with a myriad of clubs in recent weeks so I think the Merseysiders could do with a new man at the back but maybe not at the price quoted by this source! Do Anfield supporters like the look of this huge defender?
