New Real Madrid boss Juande Ramos wants to bring Aston Villa’s Ashley Young to the Bernabeu, but the club fear they may have to pay up to £27m for the in-form winger. (Spanish newspaper Marca)(BBC Sport)
Such is the current form of Ashley Young that this rumour isn’t a huge surprise. The former Watford man has been awesome in recent weeks and Martin O’Neill will be keen to avert such a sale if indeed a bid does come in for the nippy winger. Aston Villa are well placed to break the top four monopoly and it may well be needed should the club want to keep a few of their more coveted players such as Gareth Barry and Gabriel Agbonlahor. Do Villa fans think that they can keep their form going and take one of those prized Champions League places?

if friedel can find the form he had at blackburn and aggie and barry can stay affective in midfield and creating chances then definately.. i dont think arsenal will finish top 4 this year.

There is now way we will sell Ashley to anyone including Real. And if Ronaldo was being touted at £80m in the summer then that would put Ashley in the £50m bracket so if reports are correct (which is dubious anyway) then Real would need to double their £27m IMO.
