I think we should be going balls to the walls to sign Roque Santa Cruz. He is a class player and I firmly believe he would bang in the goals for us. If anyone wants to argue about his form this season please… He is in a Blackburn side that has not won in 10 or 11 games now. He hardly gets a sniff of the ball in his offensive half. Even at that if you watch him he has not lost his touch. He passes brilliantly with his back to the goal, which is why I want him. And if you want to look at realistic targets, is it even questionable that he’d want to leave Blackburn for Villa? Or let me rephrase that. Leave the relegation battle for the battle for Champions League football?

we need 2 strikers 1 to play when carew is injered and 1 spare maybe 1 could be a relative youngster but they should be good as we had no one good enough to come on against fulham, dafuso(sorri im dyslexic) needs to be playing for in the championship for 1/2 a season, and harewood needs a stoke or a west brom where he ‘will do dammage’ without scoring many goals
the strikers must be either very very good (maybe owen) or very good and fast and must have a good goalscoring record, if we have somone slow playing up frount it destroyes the game plan jermain defou seams to fit bill don’t mind where they come from but i only watch the english game somone in the collomore, regis, atkinson mold would be ideal but not hesky

full backs need to be word class at the level we are trying to compete at, young Bouma and shorey look like decent players but not champions league standard, maybe the spanish school of flying fullback? Miguel and nelson or bridge couldn’t see the current villa team as a backward step from chelsea’s reserves could he? i would be happy with Kyle Naughton as long as we got a very good leftback as well

and 1 other somone very good a flying winger as cover or to go on th eopposite flank to young depending on milners form but we only have 2 wingers and may struggle a bit without ashley young if not a winger a truly world class player crerative central midfeilder as he or she would be hard to accomadate with 2 strickers i think a lightening winger would be ideal don’t know who whats the lad at wolves like? maybe even arron lennon, would be good cover

if that nice mr learner and the legendary martain o, spend £60m on players of that calaber we get into the champions league if not its touch and go but i am so enjoying the ride at the moment

A proven goal scorer to keep Carew & Gabby honest…They both need a rocket sometimes. Owen or Henry would be unbelievable & unlikely Santa & Zaki would be great moves but i would rather a cheeky bid for Robbie Keane as he is a top class striker(even though he couldn’t hit a cows arse with a banjo at the moment!).

Unfortunately we will probably end up with Crouch or Heskey!!

we need many players.
1. torsten frings from werder bremen, good barry replacement ( id rather he didnt leave) and a legendary player
2. striker. for gods sake NOT heskey or crouch, roque would be my choice or tevez as zaki is pretty much tied to wigan until end of season
3. glen johnson from portsmouth, again very unlikely as he is about 90% way to renewing contract

essentially i dont really care who we get but martin o neill needs to aim high, not crap like heskey. we are fighting for the champions league so we need to sign champions league quality players. if we can only afford one proper quality player its better than 4 or 5 like heskey.
