This source has outlined seven players said to be very much on the White Hart Lane radar!
Spurs boss Harry Redknapp says the club will need to spend big in January if they want top half EPL finish this season.
It’s for this reason Tottenham are seeking reinforcements in the upcoming transfer window, with Inter’s David Suazo (currently on-loan with Benfica), Rosenborg’s Anthony Annan, Boro’s Downing and Liverpool’s Pennant all in the picture.
Spurs have also developed a special interest in fellow Londoner squad Fulham‘s players, eying both midfielder Jimmy Bullard and defender Zat Knight.
Also Wigan‘s Ecuadorian Antonio Valencia is a target for Redknapp, and he is willing to offer his counterpart Steve Bruce a sum of £7 million to convince him to let go of the 23 year old midfielder. (Footylatest.com)
Now then, Harry is set to be a very busy man this January at least that is if you believe everything you hear or indeed read. Of these seven players I think that moves for Downing and Bullard are very distinct possibilities and would command a combined valuation of around £21m. Anthony Annan, the 22 year old Ghanaian International midfielder could be a starter not least because he would be a snip in comparison to some players in that position that Redknapp has apparently been looking at. Inter Milan striker Suazo has been on fire since going out on loan to Benfica and I would imagine that he could well be on the verge of securing a permanent move to the unbeaten Portuguese table toppers. Who would Spurs fans most like to see the club sign out of this bunch?
