The Israel defender earned a reputation as one of the best central defenders in England during his time under Sam Allardyce at Bolton Wanderers.
A move to Chelsea was a huge disappointment and he moved on to Manchester City in the summer for £5million, but again he has failed to impress.
Reports now claim that Harry Redknapp is set to join Blackburn Rovers in the chase to sign Ben Haim for £3million, although he is unlikely to match his £45,000-per-week Eastlands wage. (fansfc.com)
Many Man City fans deride Tal Ben Haim who always seems dodgy when I have seen him play since his heyday at Bolton and if Harry does make the move for the Israeli I for one will be dumfounded. Tottenham obviously need a few defenders, especially centre backs, but would the former Chelsea man be a good signing? He is average at best and wouldn’t cost much but I do not see him as good enough to play at any club other than one who is expected to struggle with relegation and clearly Spurs are aiming higher than that. Are there any White Hart Lane fans who think this move would be one worth making?

Not a chance of signing Ben Haim. Harry may be some things, but stupid is not one of them. I am sure that a little tour of Africa would net us a centre half. i watched the African Cup of Nations and there were plenty of them there. The only problem maybe, is whether they can cope with the Premiership. But we can get one for cheap compared to some of the shit in England.

why dont we get Barmby back or Robinson, how about Anderton or Ruddock
typical Spurs scared to go forward and always going backwards its no wonder we are the laughing stock in the premiership.

ben haim at bolton was one of the best central defenders.when he went to chelsea ,chances were few and there was bad blood between him and grant.at city a number of good players appeared to lose form.i think for 3 mil and arrys ability, ben haim might be a good signing.

highs and lows.1-0 loss to wigan.if there was a spurs forward line we hardly saw it.dawson again the outstanding defender.one elbow in the face maybe a accident.twice in the face maybe something else.a injury prone boy came to spurs with great talent.he could tackle, dribble, was fast and deadly in dead ball situations.where has it gone to gareth bale.your were graded at 5 from 10 for your play.i would give you 2.the quicker zokora takes this position the better we will be.bale like the hoodlum bird is going backwards in ever decreasing circles.we all know where it ended up.

spurs suffer from common african disease, its called sleeping sickness.seems to infect them dureing games.some appear to be immune from this illness.ohara, dawson, zokora ,and few others seem to be ok ,but it might be catching.we might have the rare distinction of winning the cup and getting relegated.i personally would like to thank comolli for putting us in this mess.hes not exactly setting the french league alight.in america they have hurricanes.here we have comollis.we still have the rubbish laying around at spurs.

spurs fans, appiah is being checked for fitness and knee examination.hes playing in practise game.hes haveing a medical.hes signed for spurs.hes gone to africa to see his family.for the same position spurs want to buy wigan player.for the same position spurs want to buy player from italian league.the transfer month has arrived.put all the comments above in a box, draw out one ,wrong.draw out two wrong.draw out the whole lot,you may still be wrong.the silly month has arrived.throw enough sh-t against a wall, something may stick.the rumours on some sites from fans are quite often as bad or worse.so why do i keep reading them.we live in hope.

there seems to be one common factor to the players spurs are buying or want to buy.they all have a fire in them to win.under jol, ramos and harry was the same problem.players(some)who were quite content to get there vast wages with minimum of effort.it will be very interesting to see who has gone and who has come in.im sure by feb.a lot of fans will have new hope.just 3 wins on the trot and look where we would be.arry just has to pull it off.

some reports today signing of chelsea goalkeeper.if true it surprises me.after arnesen affair thought with compensation money to spurs, chelsea would not forgive spurs.they must want somebody from spurs.also today reports wigan player last signing.dont believe it.still too many holes to fill at spurs.

am i surprised at the poor display at burnley.no.to play part of the game with lone striker, defoe,(my 12 year old grandson is taller)becomes a powder puff strike force.then burnley can throw defenders into attack.our defense gets overwhelmed.why did bent pull out at the last minute according to reports.we need both cups like a hole in the head.survival in the league is our no 1 priority.i said before arry signed for spurs,he would have to walk on water.nows the time.hes paying for past management mistakes.its a job from hell.
