Arsenal linked with FANTASTIC midfielder not named Appiah
by offsidetrap on February 12th, 2009 203 words | 8 commentsForget Stephen Appiah, this is a midfielder that Arsenal could really use going forward. After being linked with the club before, word has now come out that this player is ready and willing to leave his current club this summer.
Croatia midfielder Niko Kranjcar has added to Portsmouth’s misery by admitting he is keen to leave the struggling Premier League club at the end of the season.
Portsmouth have already lost star players Jermain Defoe and Lassana Diarra during the January transfer window and are managerless after Tony Adams was sacked earlier this week.
With the team just above the relegation zone, the last thing Pompey need is another player considering his future, but Kranjcar, who has been linked with Arsenal and Monaco, insists he would walk away from Fratton Park if a bigger club came in for him. (AFP)
Big club? It doesn’t get any bigger than Arsenal. Plus, Kranjcar could fit in perfectly with the youthful midfield. Whilst the club will have to wait until the end of the season, Pompey’s recent run of bad form means this move could be very realistic.

eduardo is one and only 4 arsenal, i cant wait 2 see him play with d liked of arshavin, walcot, R.V.P. and super nasri. just imagine how superior dat arsenal team will be. if u anti-arsenal fan doubt me then u just hav 2 watch out against sunderland.

We don’t need Kranjcar, we already have Nasri, Walcott, Rosicky (supposedly) & Arshavin.
We need a defensive midfielder, why the fuck Wenger let Diarra go is beyond me. With Flamini dodging signing a new contract makes no sense to let him leave, second biggest mistake of Wengers Arsenal career (first obviously signing Jeffers).

TOM! …Denilson & Diaby r not CDM’s, Wenger only plays them there because the only other solution is an inconsistant Song. Kolo Toure in my opinion would be the perfect option for a CDM, why Wenger can’t see this is beyond me. Next season Denilson will be a better player no doubt, Diaby on the other hand is just as inconsistant as Song & is always injured…this should be the team when fit >>>> Almunia. SELL DIABY,SONG AND EBOUE and sign Krajncar. He’s better than all three of them put together. We have quite a few youngsters (incase of injuries/burnout) that I’d rather give a go in the first team than them three.
Gunna4life, I have to disagree with your team, I’d be benching Walcott and putting Arshavin on the left and I’m not sure about Toure at CDM, never seen him play there.
In my opinion, Walcott is more of a threat when defenders are tired and his pace will be more of a weapon used off the bench. He is also abit erratic at times. Sometimes his speed is a hinderance to his skill as he loses control of the ball when confronting defenders.
All in all, I think we have a great squad except for a few players, all we need is a little luck and NO MORE INJURIES.
