It’s been a long time coming, but finally, after a year, Eduardo returned to the pitch in spectacular fashion against Cardiff in Arsenal’s FA Cup replay on Monday. After suffering a horrific ankle injury last season, the Brazilian-born striker made up for lost time with two goals in his first match for the London club.
Eduardo marked his first Arsenal appearance in a year with two goals as the hosts outclassed Cardiff in their FA Cup fourth-round replay at the Emirates.
The Croatia striker nodded home after 20 minutes following a fluid one-two with Carlos Vela for his first goal since February 2 last year, and then scored a second half penalty to book a fifth round trip to Burnley. (Daily Mail)
It sure was good to see Eduardo back bossing it on the pitch. I’m sure Arsenal supporters would say the same thing.
What do supporters make of his first performance? What kind of impact do you expect him to have on the club during the rest of the season?
