Do Manchester United supporters fear this Inter player? They should, according to his manager
by stresster on February 23rd, 2009 5 commentsInter v Manchester United is probably the pick of the Champions League clashes taking place this week. We have the Italian champions facing the English champions and it’s just possible that this man could make all the difference for the San Siro outfit.
The Daily Telegraph finds Jose Mourinho waxing lyrical about star striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic, the dangerous Swede who the Manchester United defence will have to keep a watchful eye on. His manager has him down as one of the world’s best players and the forward will be keen to take advantage of United’s defensive injuries.
For me he is one of the best players in the world. He has had a very good season with Inter so far and I think we are bringing the best out of a player who needs to have the success to match his talent. United have had a great defensive record this season, for sure. But they have not had to deal with Ibrahimovic.
The game against United will be a big test for him. He will get the chance to play against the champions of Europe, to play against a defender like Rio Ferdinand. I am confident he will be dangerous.
With Nemanja Vidic suspended for the trip to the San Siro, do Manchester United supporters worry that the defence might struggle to cope with everything that the Inter team throw at them? Or will the Red Devils nick a vital away goal or two to ensure that it is they who are in the driving seat come the return game in a fortnight’s time?

That’s one player! Inter should fear the entire team of Man U! Inter is good in the Italian league but they lack pace as exposed by Liverpool last season in the champions league. They will be overwhelmed with Man U’s speed and energy. They have no chance. Maybe next year, Mourinho!

the only person utd should fear is mourinho.same as when he was at chelsea.inter are certainly a good team as was chelsea b4 he arrived.but once there he gives players a massive difference in their mental preparation and condition.
having said that i take utd to score atleast once over there,a big and obvious concern is utd being vidic-less.

Nope. Even without Vidic…Man U will prove to be too for Inter. They would have their owns full with Rooney, Ronaldo, Berbatov and company charging at them. I don’t think Inter would even supply anything to their supposed ’star man’ upfront. Their midfield will be chocked out of the game.

Nope! Even without Vidic…Man U will prove to be too hot for Inter to handle. They would have their owns fully occupied with Ronney, Ronaldo, Berbatov and company charging at them. I don’t think Inter could even supply anything to their supposed ’star man’ upfront. Their midfield will be chocked, outfought, outwitted and outbattled. Stay tune and watch!

The game is really hard to call, both teams are really good, but I have to side with Man United in terms of technical quality. However, Inter are playing at home and if United’s defensive crisis is as bad as the media makes it out to be, I have no doubt that Inter’s deadly strike force will be able to grab a goal or two.
