Manchester City’s recent form has many (journalists included) question if there’s a rift going on in the Manchester City dressing room. Rumours were swirling that striker Craig Bellamy and a falling out with Robinho over the weekend and that the two were no longer talking to each other. Vincent Kompany has since disputed the story. He claims things are just fine.
“There are no tensions at all in the group. There is a very good team spirit and sometimes it is important that players feel free to say things to each other.
“Too much of what has supposed to have happened in the dressing room is exaggerated by people, who were not there. A constructive debate is always an important thing to have.” (Manchester Evening News)
The pressure on Mark Hughes and his squad to perform to an optimum level could have the stress level at an all-time high. But if Kompany disputes the issue, then I guess we should all just let it go, right? After all, Bellamy came out today and said Robinho was a fantastic guy. It’s nothing but roses and candy at the club!
