David Moyes continues to impress as manager of Everton. The Toffees started the season with plenty of injury worries and currently have many first-team players on the treatment table. It’s clear that the Scot needs to increase his squad, and that’s where this excellent midfielder could come in.
The Daily Star reports that Everton are keen on signing none other than Niko Kranjcar, currently plying his trade at Portsmouth. This signing would be a coup for the Merseyside club, although they would only be able to offer him UEFA Cup football rather than some Champions League action.
EVERTON manager David Moyes is ready to offer Niko Kranjcar an escape from Portsmouth by making a £6m bid for the Croatian playmaker.
Many Everton supporters would clearly like to see this player at Goodison Park, although the Daily Telegraph actually have some quotes from the player, making it clear that he wants to play in Europe’s premier club competition.
“If a bigger club, if a top-four club, or big clubs from Europe come in and want to get me, and if the price is right, of course I would like to go and play Champions League.”
Are Everton much bigger than Portsmouth when it comes to the size of football clubs? Maybe a little bigger, although perhaps Niko will get some more attractive offers after impressing for Portsmouth. Who would Toffees supporters like to see brought in during the summer?
