Although Manchester City are now termed as ‘the world’s richest club’, it’s Chelsea who have the most expensively-assembled squad in the Premier League. However, despite the presence of Nicolas Anelka, Frank Lampard, John Terry and Michael Ballack featuring for the Blues at home to Hull City on Saturday, they couldn’t find a way past a modest City outfit. Indeed, the visitors had chance to win the game, with a couple of players all apologies after a result which effectively rules them out of the title race. [Read the rest of this entry »]

My, how the tables have turned. In the eyes of Chelsea supporters, butter wouldn’t have melted in the mouth of Phil Scolari back in September, but a run of disappointing performances and results have left the Blues’ title hopes dangling by a thread. Does anyone think they can win the Premier League title from this position? [Read the rest of this entry »]
While Carlo Cudicini is generally regarded as a top-class keeper, time isn’t on the Italian’s side at the age of 35. Tottenham supporters will be glad that Harry Redknapp moved quickly to replace the erratic Heurelho Gomes, although it appears as though Spurs are looking to bring in some fresh talent this summer. The Reds scrambled a 3-2 win at Fratton Park on Saturday, despite starting with Fernando Torres and Dirk Kuyt on the bench. With Robbie Keane having been sold, many have commented on the Spaniard’s lack of striking options, although perhaps this is where a certain striker comes in. [Read the rest of this entry »]
Despite Petr Cech’s rallying call last week that the Blues needed to win every league match if they were to win the title, they were unable to find a breakthrough against Hull City. A small section of supporters were disgruntled enough to call for the manager’s head, with Phil Scolari slowly starting to lose all the goodwill generated at the beginning of the campaign. The Gunners might have played over half of Sunday’s North London derby with ten men, yet there’s a case for arguing that they should have had all three points from the match at White Hart Lane. While Tottenham huffed and puffed during the second half, should Arsenal have been defending a lead at that stage? [Read the rest of this entry »]
Tony Adams has once again failed as a football manager, with the Pompey board calling time on his three-month stint at Fratton Park. Many supporters continued to back the former Arsenal defender, especially after the team came so close to beating Liverpool on Saturday. However, a failure to win since November has made the powers-that-be understandably twitchy. [Read the rest of this entry »]
We know this is going to be one hotly contest match on the pitch; but chances are also pretty good that the banter in the stands will be piping hot as well. To get Tottenham and Arsenal supporters primed for Sunday’s match, we wanted to know we each side had to say to the other going into the weekend.
With Keane back at Tottenham, chances are looking good for a resurgence at the strike position. While Arsenal are hoping for a turnaround of their recent form that saw them drop out of the top four.

In one of the biggest matches of the season, Rafa Benitez has made it clear that he’s having a tough time deciding whether Fernando Torres will play a role against Portsmouth. [Read the rest of this entry »]
Portsmouth get seem to get out of their own way at the moment, while Liverpool can’t seem to get out the injury bug out of the locker room. Even though both clubs are going in opposite directions, Sautrday’s match has a lot riding on the rest of the season for a number of reason.
For Liverpool there’s obviously that little thing called the title race. They’d like to be in it for the rest of the season, but a loss to Portsmouth could spell the end to the dream. With Gerrard out, and Torres running on fumes, Rafa Benitez will need to figure out the best plan of attack for his squad.
Portsmouth are inching closer and closer to the bottom three of the Premier League table. Only one point above the relegation table, a loss to Liverpool could put Tony Adam’s club in a very bad spot with less than half the season remaining.

Well the transfer deadline has come and passed and what you’re looking at right now is the team you’ll be finishing the season with. Scary or not, it’s time to believe in the starting XI (even if you don’t really want to). For some clubs, this is the time of the year when the sweet smell of European football comes calling; for others, this is the time of the season where the thought of a relegation battle starts to settle in.
We want to know based on the current squad where your club will finish the season. Do you have the horses for a top four finish, or are you already preparing for trips to West Bridgford and South Norwood next season?

Robbie Keane is back at White Hart Lane and it couldn’t have come at a better time with Arsenal coming in this weekend for a massive derby match. With Harry Redknapp not having Jermaine Defoe, chances are looking good that Keane will start this weekend and possibly wear the captains’ armband. [Read the rest of this entry »]
