Liverpool to bid for AWESOME £13m Wing Wizard!

Liverpool are planning a new bid for Tottenham winger Aaron Lennon.

The London Evening Standard says Liverpool were interested in signing Lennon during the January transfer window when Spurs were negotiating the deal to bring back Robbie Keane but Harry Redknapp was unwilling to let him move.

Lennon, 21, has a contract with Spurs until 2012 but does not figure among the top earners at White Hart Lane. He is also pushing for a recall to the England squad and Keane believes his team-mate could make it. (tribalfootball.com)

£13m rated England international Lennon has been in fine form since Harry Redknapp came to White Hart Lane and has begun to show the skill and speed that got him in the England squad on a regular basis and should surely be due a return to the England fold under Fabio sometime soon. Rafa could well do with a natural wide man, especially given Ryan Babels average to poor form. Dirk Kuyt tries his heart out but is ultimately not suited to the position. If Lennon continues to play well in the run in and Tottenham avoid the drop then the club should offer him a better contract otherwise he could well be tempted into a move to a Champions League level outfit like Liverpool. Do Anfield fans think Lennon could make the grade at the club?
