Wolfsburg have slapped a £12 million price-tag on striker Edin Dzeko.
After Arsenal confirmed their interest in Dzeko last week, Wolfsburg have made interested clubs aware of their asking price.
Along with the Gunners, Aston Villa and Valencia are also tracking Dzeko. (tribalfootball.com)
Clearly Wolfsburg are trying to scare off interest in their in form Bosnian striker who has been instrumental in the Bundesliga’s side title push. The six foot four forward has taken to life in the German league very well and may well have his head turned by the Premier League interest. Arsene Wenger has been linked with a few players in recent weeks and the one position it would seem didn’t need immediate attention would be up front. Yes Adebayor has had an off season and Bendtner manages to fluff 90% of the chances he is presented with, but with RVP, Eduardo and Vela to add to the mix one would imagine the club could do without chasing this guy. Do Gunners fans agree?

If he’s any good get him for £10m & sell adebayor for £25m, good business

Never heard of the guy but agree with the above comment just add Bendtner to the list and it could be financial rewarding as well as giving us a new lift.

who? who cares as long as he don’t miss open goals like someone A.K.A.(Bentdner) he has got to be good

For a long time, almost every Gooner has agreed that we’re abit light in CBs and lacked a ball-winning DMF. Yet our recent record shows that defending and keeping the ball aren’t our main problems. We haven’t been able to ‘put sides away’ – especially the ’smaller’ teams – like Sp*rs, for example. The truth is we’ve been missing far too many goal scoring opportunities – and sadly I have to admit that Bendtner & Adebayor just aren’t good enough. We can’t sell both of them unless we buy someone else who gives us the physical presence they offer. If Dzeko’s any good maybe he’s the answer? – What really gets me though is that, Torres is such an Arsenal type player – I can’t understand why AW didn’t break the bank to get him.
We should have sold TH14 a year earlier & used the cash to buy Fernando. If we had him and Alonso (or ideally Mascherano) we’d walk the EPL & the ECL.

Im very disappointed in bentner, he miss all the chances we created against Roma that make us dearly pay for it in penalty shout out in Roma last time, so it happened against Black Burn so I think arsenal need more striker to help the other guys thank

yunus and faisat, u guys are a disappointment to the gunner community. avn’t u heard of the sayin that the devil u know(bendtner) is better than the unknown angel(dzeko).
may7heaven u know AW will never cough up that much cash 4 any player, its against our money saving policy.( even asharvin had to come up wit his transfer fee balance)

dzeko is gun of player, any team in the premierleague would be lucky to have him, one of the most talented strikers in the world, give him 2 – 3 years he will be #1 striker in the world, easy.. reminds me of ibrahimovic, tall, good header of the ball, quick feet, neat skills, and incredible finishing, but dzeko doesn’t have a temper like ibrahimovic, if dzeko looses the ball he works his bottom end off for the team.. that’s where the difference is between ibrahimovic and dzeko, and i think if ibrahimovic didn’t have a temper like he does, and work a bit harder off the ball he would be way better… that’s where DZEKO comes in.. everything like ibrahimovic but higher work rate and no temper.
