Harry’s been on an Italian scouting mission.
Argentina striker Diego Milito was among the players Tottenham Hotspur boss Harry Redknapp looked at during Genoa’s victory over Udinese at the weekend.
Milito, who has previously been linked with Spurs, was on the scoresheet at Stadio Luigi Ferraris in the 2-0 win that took Genoa to fourth in Serie A, with centre-back Domenico Criscito also impressing.
Redknapp travelled to Italy the day after Spurs’ victory over Chelsea and has suggested he will continue to build his squad at White Hart Lane after signing five players during the January transfer window. (Blackpool Gazette)
Genoa’s impressive season has been based on a number of factors but the return of legend Milito to the club and the continuing superb displays by on-loan defender Criscito are two of the biggest plus points for the Serie A side. Of the two in many ways the more important capture would be that of Juventus youngster Domenico who is now on the verge of a full international call up. Claudio Ranieri will not be keen to let the 22 year old go, especially as the likes of Mellberg and Legrottaglie aren’t getting any younger. Do Tottenham fans think the club should bring in another centre back or another striker?
