10 Steven Gerrard (Liverpool)
Steven Gerrard has yet again been a vital figure for Liverpool this season. He has brushed aside off-field controversy and continued his fine form in Liverpool’s title push.
8 Robin van Persie (Arsenal)
In a season when Arsenal haven’t quite hit the standards some of their supporters would like, Van Persie has been a rock for the Gunners. Injuries to major players has meant that the 25 year old has been called upon to act in a senior roll for the club.
5 Gabriel Agbonlahor (Aston Villa)
At the start of the season 22 year old Agbonlahor signed a new four-year deal with Villa. Two days later, in Villa’s first match of season against Man City, Villa’s No 11 scored a hat-trick in a 4-2 win over Man City. He scored a goal when Villa beat Arsenal 2-0 away in November. He played in both of England’s last two games – against Germany and Spain. (Daily Mail)
