The all new rumour reporting article system is in full effect!
Roman Abramovich has pursued Ancelotti for some time – despite the fact that the coach has worked only in Italy – because of his pedigree of winning the Champions League.
Abramovich has already made clear to Ancelotti that he will pursue a bid for Arsenal’s Emmanuel Adebayor – who the Italian wanted at Milan – and Carlos Tevez, who is expected to leave Manchester United this summer. An offer for CSKA Moscow’s Yuri Zhirkov is also being prepared.

This is one of those rumours that is dependent on another set of rumours coming to fruition in order to have any basis in reality. Carlo Ancelotti has been heavily linked with the soon to be vacant job at Stamford Bridge but then he has also been offered a new deal at the San Siro so who knows what he may do next. After all he has managed to get his AC Milan back into the Champions League for next term and he may wish to continue at the club that he clearly has a great deal of history with. However if he does chase the cash and look to move to west London then clearly he has one hell of a shopping list. As well as the big names noted in this portion of this story there were one or two names at his current club he wanted moved over to Chelsea with him, names such as Kaka and Andrea Pirlo. However i can assure you that the Milan outfit would fight tooth and nail before allowing such a pillaging of their club by Roman Abramovich.
As for the Arsenal misfit Emmanuel Adebayor. Normally i would say that it’s unlikely that a side would sell on a player to their rivals but in this case i think an exception would be made for the right price. Things are beginning to become untenable for the Togolese striker and if a bid in the region of £25-30m was offered (and that is the type of figure doing the rounds) then Wenger would surely take the money and run. Clearly such a deal would only be on the cards if, as expected, Didier Drogba leaves the club.
Adebayor to Chelsea: A move that could well take place, but only if the price is right.
