Five In, Five Out: Portsmouth’s Summer Transfer Plans!
by Mr Comfort on May 19th, 2009 1 commentYou’re chance to be the boss!
You’ve sat in your seat and you have paid through the nose to do so, but now you can finally influence transfer policy at your club (well only if your club’s boss happens to visit the site, and we know that Arsene Wenger and Roy Hodgson regularly do) by stating what you wish your side to do when the transfer window re-opens!
Now is your chance to shout your views from the rooftops, using our clever cut-and-paste thingy, for you to outline just who your boss should cash in on and who should be brought in. You can of course pretend money is no object, but why not try to really rack your brains for a combination of exits and purchases that may well add up to a similar price range.
Good luck!

I know we have a new billionaire owner, but these are more realistic transfer targets for us. We need someone to fill Defoe’s role and to support the big man Crouch, Tuncay would do that well, he is full of energy and creativity. Nolan would be a good holding midfielder, a replacement for Diarra, perhaps. Bentley would provide an attacking midfield role for us, and Bassong would help make our defence as sturdy as it was during the 07/08 season. Finally, Djibril Cisse would provide as another centre forward, alongside Crouch, as he has the ability to be a prolific goalscorer with the right support, and I’m pretty sure Belhadj and Krancjar could do this.
