BARCELONA are poised to make a £20million move to lure Ashley Cole from Chelsea.
Barca, the Champions League finalists, have already sounded out the Blues about England full-back Cole and are ready to come back with a firm bid when the season ends.
A host of clubs are hovering around Cole, whose excellent season for Chelsea has restored his reputation as a top-class defender.

The Analysis

So would Ashley Cole really just up sticks and leave a club that has stood by him and paid him an excessive wage for years so that he can go and join a rival club? Yes he would probably jump at the chance!

Pepe Guardiola has experienced Frenchman Eric Abidal to rely on as Barcelona’s first choice left back and has veteran Sylvinho as a back up and whilst he may well look for a younger model to replace either of these in the next year or two i can’t see the Spanish Champions moving in for C-ashley.

The Likelihood

Cole to Barca: I don’t think this will happen and think it is unlikely Roman Abramovich would let such a thing occur.
