The all new rumour reporting article system is in full effect!
Tottenham and Liverpool are going head-to-head for Portsmouth fullback Glen Johnson.
The Sun says Spurs boss Harry Redknapp is a huge admirer of Portsmouth star Johnson.
He resurrected the player’s career, taking him to Pompey two years ago after a move to Chelsea went wrong.
Johnson, 24, is now England chief Fabio Capello’s first-choice right-back and is rated at around £12million.

Harry Redknapp appears to collect full backs like others collect stamps. The former Pompey boss is apparently very keen on Glen Johnson but already has right backs a plenty in the shape of Alan Hutton, Vedran Corluka and Chris Gunter, all international level performers.
Liverpool are also hot on the heels of the former West Ham and Chelsea man who has been one of the star performers at Fratton Park and is one of many players said to be likely to depart as the club looks to raise much needed cash.
Should Johnson leave he will have to weigh the pros and cons of the two clubs. Obviously at Anfield he will be playing in the Champions League and mounting a title push but at Spurs he will be reunited with the boss who resurrected a career that was stalling at Stamford Bridge.
Johnson to Spurs or Liverpool: It does seem likely the 24 year old will leave the South Coast club and i would put Rafa in pole position to nab him.
