Hart, 22, lost his place when City paid £8million for Shay Given in January.
The loan, which would cost around £3m, would be similar to those in which England keepers Scott Carson and Ben Foster moved to Aston Villa and Watford to get first-team experience.

You have to feel sorry for Joe Hart. The talented young keeper has fallen foul of the big spending mentality of the Eastlands outfit as the former Shrewsbury goalie found himself replaced by arguably the best keeper in the Premier League when Mark Hughes brought in Shay Given. Now the 22 year old must try to rebuild a career that was blossoming and had earned him England recognition.
A move to either of the newly promoted sides named would be a good one and if it’s on loan or a permanent deal it should be a move that Joe makes otherwise he faces the very real prospect of battling unsuccessfully to force his way back into the first team reckoning. It is something Steve Harper spent nigh on 12 years trying to do at Newcastle so if i were Mr Hart i would take any Premier League move i could get.
Hart to Wolves or Birmingham: Very Likely indeed
